The state of Washington has a robust commercial fishing industry. Fishermen harvest wild Pacific salmon, Pacific sardines, albacore tuna, pink shrimp, Dungeness crabs, razor clams, geoduck clams, and other seafood.
Commercial fisheries in state waters are managed by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. The Pacific Fishery Management Council (PFMC) manages the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) off Washington, Oregon, and California.
